PHYSICAL AFFECTION: Maria is not very touchy-feely. She isn't completely averse to it, but she will not want to be surprised by it, will not want to engage if she's in a heightened emotional state, and likely won't be comfortable with a lot from someone she doesn't know well.

PHYSICAL VIOLENCE: Big, fat, yes. Maria is a FromSoftware boss, she might well try to murder someone first, so fights are always a good time.

ROMANCE/FLIRTING: If Maria is not already interested in someone, she'll likely be a little clueless they're really into her if they're not completely blunt. That said, it's going to be a bit slow going; she has a lot to work through, and is a little particular.

SEXUAL CONTENT: I'm good with it if someone else is; she doesn't have a particularly high libido (it's the depression), but if it happens, I am down. I am open to f/f and m/f, so don't be scared off by tumblr's interpretation of her.

PSYCHIC ABILITIES: None. She's a normal not-quite-human. Well, she might have a bit of Insight, which allows her to see Eldritch Things better than normal humans, but that doesn't really matter for most situations or characters.

MAGIC/POWERS: Maria is a Vileblood. More than a Vileblood, Maria is also a descendant of Pthumerians. This means a bunch of stuff to people from her canon, but for everyone else the only appreciable thing it means is that she can use her blood as a weapon. She coats her swords with big crystals of blood that are even sharper and more deadly than regular swords. Furthermore, the blood can be "flung" off the swords, and will also cut like a blade. Finally, she can imbue the blood with fire to make it all even more intense. Also, due to her training with Gehrman, she is versed in an art called "quickening", which basically allows a hunter to dematerialize for a very short time and move to another location. It's something like an extremely short-range teleport; they do go almost fully invisible for it. Functionally, it gives her longer dodging i-frames. Finally, being a hunter, she has exceptional physical strength and agile finesse; important for fighting Beasts.

MEDICAL INFORMATION: Maria is canonly dead. That said, she is physically more powerful than an average human her size would be, can survive stabbing herself in the chest with her sword, can heal rapidly by injecting herself with other peoples' blood, and has weird abilities with her blood. In fact she probably has a lot of really weird and awful things going on in her blood, I would not recommend running a blood panel on her. She's also not entirely human, as the Cainhurst line is especially closely related to the Pthumerians, which are one of those mystical precursor races of somewhat-humanoid-creatures, so she probably doesn't even have fully human DNA.

OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS OR TRIGGERS: I play Maria with a sort of form of thalassophobia, which is a PTSD trigger response to the aftermath of the Fishing Hamlet massacre. So she's uneasy when she's near or on the ocean and other large bodies of water, and doesn't eat fish. Will also avoid fish markets, if she can help it.

BACKTAGGING: Hit me up, I like it.

FOURTH WALLING: I am fine with it, unless we're trying to be serious, and then I'd rather avoid it.

THREADHOPPING: Go for it! Unless we're trying to be serious, then I'd rather avoid it.

OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS/TRIGGERS: None.

ANYTHING ELSE: Maria's backstory involves suicide, and something strongly resembling a genocide that she herself committed. There's also a lot of stuff in Bloodborne about pregnancy, and forced pregnancy, and body horror (and pregnancy as body horror), plus a lot of elements of religion and cults and, if the name wasn't a clue, blood. Lots of blood and violence. People consume blood regularly. It is a horror game that is a vampires-and-werewolves gothic horror on the surface, and a deeply blood-mad cosmic horror beneath. There is a lot going on, and a lot of things that could be considered triggering or at least CW; assume most of that stuff will come up in some way or another when interacting with Maria. You can use this post as an opt-out if you would like!
